Today we have another group meeting and re-wrote the brief as a group, so we could confirm all our initial ideas.
Name
Last week we had a lot of discussion about a name and the re-curring name that kept coming up was Thread. Thread relates well to the publication as it's whats used to bind clothes and was unique. As a group we have agreed upon this as its the most appropriate for the Fashion & Lifestyle magazine.
We next decided to make a list of the three main sub categories throughout the magazine.
Fashion
- Street Style
- Independant Brands
- Trends
- Leeds 'Ones to watch'
Lifestyle
- Health & Beauty
- Food
- Drink
- Comedy
- Exhibitions
Events
- Nights
- Gigs
- Clubs
- Bars
We next decided that we would go away get some more research done and decide on the colour scheme and logo for the magazine. On our next meeting we will split the roles up for 'Fashion' Section of the magazine and all work on one section at a time as this will help us from not getting mixed up and going off track.
Action Plan
- Carry on researching the previous list plus more fashion related research.
- Come up with Logo design
- Possible Colour theme
I think today's meeting has been beneficial in us finding more focus on the direction of the magazine, this will enable us to create work more efficiently. Also I am excited to start looking into designs for the magazine and seeing it come together.
