BREIF 06: DBA FEEDBACK SESSION

Today we had the DBA team come in for a crit of the work we had created so far. I presented my little presentation of work I did for the team to them and the main criticism we got back was 'what is our concept?' as a group I felt like we jumped straight into the design element instead of considering who our target audience was and really reflecting on the brief, so they gave us a few suggestions to reflect upon.

To Consider
  • What are we promising?
  • What is the concept?
  • How can you take connection further?

With this initial feedback for the rest of the session we decided to focus on building our concept further! With this we sat down and started to brainstorm our considerations and how we could capitalise on these for make a stronger concept.

We came up with a multitude of ideas but as a group found it hard to decide, so we had another one-on-one meeting with one of the DBA members who helped us narrow it down and pull out the strongest ideas as well as what to include in our presentation, which is listed below.

Concept
From our ideas we decided to go with the idea of promoting and celebrating how the North had more. I felt this concept was more stronger than our intial idea of connectivity as it gives visitors and businesses a bigger incentive to visit the North and to see what it has to offer!

"The North has more of everything... more opportunities, more space, more culture, more history, etc."
"The North also encompasses the opportunity for change and expanding your horizons."

With this concept more refined our next step is to design on this idea and how we can push and present that the North has more and will not only encourage but educate the potential target audience.

Overview

With this concept more refined our next step is to design on this idea and how we can push and present that the North has more and will not only encourage but educate the potential target audience. With DBA comming in it significantly helped the projects development, we didn't really consider on how we could capitalise on the concept and really focused on the aesthetics which is an element of the success of the project but not totally! With this feed back session we was able to achieve some progress and was a good day overall with connecting with visiting professionals.
