BRIEF 03: PHOTOGRAPHY

In regards to the look book for the jewellery brand, I decided to look at some potential styles and shots that we could use. Due to Roxxie doing a separate brief for a photographer she has managed to get them do take the shots for our line, which will be really beneficial for the outcome of our work!

The lighting of these shots has an iridescent quality which could enhance the branding features and is different from your generic studio photography.

The styling and shots of the jewellery are eye catching and unique, I also liked how the images are edited to make the colours stand out more.

The styling in these shots are contemporary and really focus on the jewellery, I like the use of a coloured background as it adds more depth to the image.

These images are really quirky and bold, the photgrapher has introduced texture an colour in the fram which again makes the images stand out and look innovative.

The outdoor photo shoot really creates a scene for the photography putting the fashion and accessories into context. I think the lighting and colours within the shots make the images look fresh and contemporary.

The coloured background again adds more depth to the image, the models poses are striking and different from a generic photo shoot.

The on location photography really experiments again with textures and lights within the shots to make the images stand out. The colours and prints really make the images vibrant and exciting.

Paul experiments with metallics and holographic in these shots which create a innovative reflective quality to the images. The models hair and make up is bold and striking which also enhances the shots.

The shots are my favourite so far, I think this links in with exactly what me and Roxxie want to create visually and jewellery style wise. I like the introduction of a prop on the images which is something I will definitely consider.

The close up shots really showcase the jewellery and the on location shoot really sets the tone for the images, again this is something I want to consider in regards to our look book as I feel a on location shoot might benefit the designs more.

The designs of the jewellery and model are really bohemian which ties in with the style we want to create, I like the textures of the 3rd image which creates a 3D quality to the image.

Overview

Looking at existing jewellery brand and photographers has been really beneficial in creating an idea of what me and Roxxie can produce. These idea's can be expanded further on and will be excising to see how they develop.
