BRIEF 08: GROUP MEETING 2

Today, we met to show how our ideas had progressed from the last meeting and to deliberate what designs to produce further. Most of the group were still in the developmental stage but after comparing ideas again we decided to further focus on the following visual ideas.

Feedback

From the ideas I presented, the group really liked the idea of using a colour system with gradients and shapes to define each section of the university and also to represent progression and individuality through obscure shapes and tones.


Ideas

We then again further refined our visual ideas to a set of things to focus and research on within the brief to experiment with further.

• Typographic based
• Colours, gradients, patterns to define the concept themes and sectors within uni
• 'Look At Us Now' — working title for brief

Also we rented out a camera to take images around uni, to get some realistic mock ups of how the designs would work in context.

Roles

We delegated roles for the progression of our brief, each person highlighted their strengths and from there we started to decided what concepts we wanted to work with. My role within the group was to focus on the following —

• Colour variations
• Typography
• Taglines
• Refined name ideas

After choosing roles we decided to meet up again tomorrow to show our final ideas and push the concept further choosing elements to fit together and define for the final brief.
