EXTENDED PRACTICE: BRIEF 03: PROPS & PACKAGING

Today, myself and Roxxie met up to continue planning the shoot and start working on packaging ideas for the brief. Taking on the to Action plan from yesterday we started to work through it.

Action Plan

Create pillow boxes / packaging for jewellery.

Order jewellery boxes.

Create Props

Secure photographer.

Pillow Boxes

Using a vector from an online website, this was used for the outline of the pillow boxes and put through the laser cutter machine with some pearlescent paper to fit in with our branded colour scheme.

Alongside with the pillow boxes, we decided to create some necklace tags that would hand off the necklaces through the crescent. We decided that we could apply some silver vinyl when we finalise the logo to put onto it.

Crescent Prop

With our laser cut slot booked, we took the crescent from some of our proposed logo designs and used that for the prop.

Roxxie took over and started spray painting all of the crescent's ready for the shoot.

Jewellery Boxes

I ordered some A5 jewellery boxes form tiny packaging co and order 3 for the proposed product photography to apply our vinyl to.

Photographer

Roxxie also organised the photographer for the shoot called Joe Pickering, his work is really good and we managed to get a deal for £40 for the day including editing which is perfect. Although we tried to organise other photographer they were al busy or out of our price range.
